Reiki is a Japanese word that means universal life energy. It is a gentle hands on modality that works with this energy to bring you back into balance, and can therefore help reinforce your body's natural ability to heal itself at all levels - physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.
Specific Issues are not addressed in a Reiki session, and the energy is not directed by the practitioner. The energy is channeled through the practitioner to the client in exactly the way the clients needs on that particular occasion. In essence, a healing space is created for you, the innate wisdom of your body and Reiki, to go to where it is best needed and do what is most beneficial to bring balance to your system at the particular time of your session.
Completely gentle and extremely relaxing - this is a wonderful session on it's own, or as a compliment to any other healing modality, whether conventional or alternative.
